Monaco, Nice, Marseille... the future stars of football will compete in the "I Fenuyëti" tournament this weekend in Beausoleil.

Since 2018, the "I Fenuyëti" tournament, organized by the AS Monaco Football Club, has brought together international teams of young talent. This year, for the 2025 edition, 10 teams and 180 players will be competing for a weekend of intense and exciting football.

This Saturday and Sunday, the Prince Héréditaire Jacques stadium in Beausoleil will come alive with exciting matches between promising young footballers.

For this 6th edition of the "I Fenuyëti" tournament, several prestigious clubs will be present, notably French clubs like FC Nantes, Olympique de Marseille, Girondins de Bordeaux, OGC Nice, Toulouse FC, and RC Strasbourg. In addition, international teams like the Portuguese side of Vitória Guimarães, the Belgians of Cercle Bruges (ASM's satellite club), and the Americans of FC One Miami. The local team of AS Monaco completes this high-level field.

The tournament takes its name from the Monegasque word "fenuyëti", the small red and white anise seeds that flavor the fougasse.

An innovative format for an attractive competition

The U12 teams will play with 11 players, instead of the usual 8, on a pitch slightly reduced from one penalty area to the other, thus offering the youngsters experience close to that of the higher categories.

After Juventus Turin (2018), FC Nantes (2019), Olympique de Marseille (2022), AS Monaco (2023) and OGC Nice (2024), the fight promises to be tight to inscribe its name on the 2025 list of winners. Beyond the sporting events, the tournament includes a significant environmental component. Since its inception, the event has been committed to an eco-responsible approach, with concrete actions such as reducing plastic and rigorous waste management. This awareness-raising is extended by a visit to the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, reminding us that environmental protection is a major issue for future generations.
